The 3 Top Most Popular Sights to Visit in Paris

If you’re planning on visiting the “City of Love” soon, you might want to start planning where you’re going to visit soon since there are so many things to do in Paris. Luckily, if you’re having trouble deciding places to see, we’ve compiled three of the most popular sights that you can check out when you go to Paris.

Due to the fact that Paris is such a famous travel destination, it’s likely that you’ll recognize most if not all of the sights below. That said, this article serves as a great reminder for the sights that you simply cannot miss when traveling to Paris.

Musée du Louvre (Louvre Museum)

If you have to visit one museum in Paris, you need to visit the Louvre Museum. The Louvre Museum is not only one of the best art museums in Europe, but also one of the best art museums in the world as well.

You’ll probably know the Louvre Museum for some of its most famous pieces of art such as the “Mona Lisa”, “The Raft of Medusa”, and “Venus de Milo”. However, one thing we recommend when visiting is to be used to the crowd.

Eiffel Tower

You probably already know about this one. Built in 1887 to be one of the main attractions for Paris’s World Fair in 1889, the gargantuan exhibit featured large amounts of steel and iron to boast an innovative structure that was far ahead of its time during the 1880s.

Today, you can see the Eiffel Tower just about 50 miles away from where you stand when you’re in Paris. However, when you see it for what it’s worth up-close and personal, you’ll realize that what Paris accomplished in 1889 still amazes people to this day.

Palace of Versaille

You might know the Palace of Versaille for many things. It was home for French Kings from 1662 to 1789 and was the location where the Treaty of Versaille was signed. While it’s no longer in commission today, you can find many wonders in this palace.

For one, you can check out their Hall of Mirrors--which was the specific place where the Treaty of Versaille was signed. You can also check out the Royal Opera, which is considered to be one of the greatest works of architect, Ange-Jacque Gabriel.

However, regardless of where you go in the Palace of Versaille, there is always something waiting for you!
